The history of silver mining during its high pitch fever traces
through here. In the 1880's the area was a stagecoach
route and a passage for transporting silver ore from the
Montezuma mines. Today East Keystone offers vacation rentals in a
serene forest setting of Colorado blue spruce,
lodgepole pine and aspens. It's a place where all your
senses will be refreshed. In the winter the resort
shuttle provides easy access to River Run for unrivalled
skiing and snowboarding, dining and nightlife. In the summer the

Poised at the base of Dercum Mountain, The
Mountain House neighborhood was Keystone's original mountain base
area. Lodging here is convenient to all skier
services including children's ski school, children's center, retail
shops, casual dining, a youth zone complete with arcade, lift
ticket office, the Argentine Lift and Peru Express providing access
to the A51 Terrain Park. In the summer experience the uphill route
of Jackstraw Road for the adrenaline rush of
mountain biking. To the north is a pathway leading over the beauty
of the Snake River's wetlands. It is a pristine
habitat from which to spot waterfowl, beavers and iridescent
hummingbirds in the summer.
