Keystone Mountain Biking


Get ready for exciting mountain biking action at the Keystone Bike Park. The infamous Drop Zone, rated one of the best in the country, has progressive terrain for all riders. With rock gardens, drops, and high-speed features there's never a dull moment on your bike. There are also more than 100 miles of single track for touring. Or, for a more relaxing afternoon, take a cruiser ride or road bike along miles of paved bike path.

Open late May through early September; weekends in spring and fall and seven days a week throughout summer.

Scenic Gondola and Lift Rides


Keystone sits right in the middle of the Rocky Mountains.  Close to the Continental Divide, Lake Dillon, The Ten Mile Range and numerous other majestic mountain peaks, the scenery is sure to take your breath away.  Take a gondola ride to the top of Keystone's Dercum Mountain for photo ops, hiking, or lunch!  Purchase your tickets with Mountain Concierge (4FUN).

Tubing at Adventure Point


Hours and Dates:
Tubing is open through April 11, 2010 - weather dependent 
 
April 1-11: 11am - 3pm

Spring/Summer Tubing:
It's back! - Snow tubing in the summer!  Beginning Memorial Day Weekend (May 28-31, 2010) tubing will be open for busienss.  Enjoy the sunshine of spring and the snow.  Spring and Summer tubing will be open weekends through June and opening seven days a week on June 18.  Make sure to call ahead for specific hours and dates because conditions will change daliy.

Sessions start on the hour and half hour

Night tubing only open when night skiing is open - call 4FUN for more information or view our night ski operations - Winter Only.  Night skiing is closed for winter 2009-2010 season.

You must be at least 42 inches tall.

1 Hour tubing session & lunch: $40

Checking in:
Guest must check in 40 minutes prior to their reservation at the Mountain Services Center. During the Xmas holidays (12/18/09 to 1/3./10) check in should be 1 hour prior, because of possible lift lines.  If guests are already on the hill skiing they must check in at Adventure Point, atop Dercum Mountain 15 minutes prior to their reservation.

Directions to the Mountain Services Center:
Follow HWY 6 East through Keystone.
Turn Right at River Run Village.
Turn left onto Gondola Road.
Turn right into Montezuma Parking Lot.  Park here.
Enter the main gate in River Run Village between Gorsuch and Slifer, Smith, and Frampton Real Estate Office.
Continue on the path through the village that will wind down to the bottom of the Gondola.  You will pass Starbucks on your left and go over 1 bridge.
The Mountain Services Center is the second building on the right once you have crossed the bridge, just pass the ticket office. 

Summer Stables

Dates Of Operation: June 11 - September 6, 2010
Horseback Riding:
Saddle up for a one or two-hour guided horseback ride through the Arapahoe National Forest. Minimum age 8 years. Guests are placed on a horse appropriate to their riding experience.  An experienced wrangler will lead guests and share the history of the area.  No riding double. Reservations required - call 800-354-4386.

Price and Time:

1 Hour $45 8:30am, 10:30am, 12:00m, 1:30pm, & 3:00pm
2 Hour $67 9:00am & 1:00pm

Additional Info:
Make sure to meet 15 minutes prior to ride time for check-in
Wear pants (no shorts)
Wear closed toed shoes
Suggested that you bring a jacket

Pony Rides:
Kids ages 3-7 will love the 15 minute pony ride as their parent leads the pony around the corral.
Price: $10 for 15 minutes
Time: 10:00 am to 4:00 pm daily

Wagon Rides and Wagon Dinner

Dinner Wagon Rides:
Take an enchanting ride in a horse-drawn wagon to the old Soda Creek Homestead. Enjoy down-home cooking, check out the historic buildings, play horseshoes, rope a mock-calf, or relax and listen to live cowboy music. Facilities are outdoors and rustic. Reservations are required - call 800-354-4386.

Scenic Wagon Ride:
Relax and enjoy a scenic horse-drawn wagon ride through the Snake River Valley to Keystone's original homestead.  Wranglers will give an historic account of Keystone's original settlement.  Reservations are required - call 800-354-4386.

Fly Fishing Clinic

 

Learn the basics of fly-fishing. Conducted by Summit Fly Fishing. Wednesday & Thursday 5:30-6:30pm, Friday - Sunday 9:00- 10:00am. Clinics are free with Adventure Passport coupon. Casting Clinics offered Monday - Thursday 9:00 - 10:00am dependent upon guide availability. Please contact Summit Fly Fishing at 970-468-8945 for availability and reservations.  This activity FREE with an Adventure Passport Coupon, provided to all lodging guests.
